lol. i was using Cassell's dictionary. Pick a less harsh dictionary :P

Webster's Meaning:

*start of meaning*

Main Entry:
    crit·ic
Pronunciation:
    \ˈkri-tik\
Function:
    noun
Etymology:
Latin criticus, from Greek kritikos, from kritikos able to discern or judge, from krinein
Date:
    1588

1 a: one who expresses a reasoned opinion on any matter especially involving a judgment of its value, truth, righteousness, beauty, or technique b: one who engages often professionally in the analysis, evaluation, or appreciation of works of art or artistic performances
2: one given to harsh or captious judgment

*end of meaning*

I hereby declare that the word critic is defined in webster by the first meaning only and not the second.

even Webster defined critic as one given to harsh judgments. harsh is a negative word. so why fight with the dictionary?

Critic means a judge, an examiner. so its not hostile.
Critics are honest, most of the time.
Critics are respected for their opinion.

i agree it sounds a bit negative. but keeping the above three lines in mind, is it still negative?

Sir, we are honored by your presence here . We are also grateful that our small effort at such a huge task is appreciated. We sincerely want to make a difference in our institution and it would be a reason of great pride for us if we do manage to help our institution in some small way, give back a little as compared to so much that it has given us.

The blog will remain an unbiased source of information for those who will want to seek it.

I happened to come across the critics IBA website today, and appreciate the vision of the founders. I think the students, faculty and administration have to work together to improve the IBA.

As a starting point, I would like to suggest that we make a concentrated effort at improving the issues concerning our curriculum. An effort is already in progress to have a 'reference' course outline for every course. The objective being to improve the course contents and to reduce overlapping and redundant material. The reference course outlines are being compiled and will be made available online in the coming weeks. In the mean time I would appreciate all comments that address the issues in the existing curriculum (for all courses at IBA, either campus) so that the reference course outlines can be continuously improved. You are also welcome to e-mail these comments to me directly at sayeed.ghani@khi.iba.edu.pk.
