The cramped room in the hallway above the dean’s office hosts a lot of offices, the lab a washroom and a ladies prayer room. It also serves as the girls common room. its really small. it has a very messy and broken look to it. and during summers it gets pretty hot inside cause theres nothing but one fan inside. No air conditioner.
Given the number of females in IBA, i think it would be wise to cater to their needs.
The thing is when you study in IBA, you basically live here. you dont go home. you eat, sleep, drink, study here.
you spend more time in IBA than you do at your home. The least IBA could do is make life a little better for us.

Honestly speakin, there are lots of ppl who do wanna make things better for us….its those ppl that we interact with in the office..but they dont have any say in the decision-making.
Re:cramped prayer room
the room’s capacity is for about 12 max 14 girls who can pray there…mind u when ur praying u dont take up tht much space so i’m guessing that the’re must be atleast a hundred female students in iba….imagine the rush outside in the hall when its time to pray…esp during the evening….and they let it out on us tht why’re u crowding the corridor….dude ur in a muslim country n a professional college who boasts of god knows how many international acclaims…the least u can do is show some male-female equality…..if there is a mosque available for men…could we have atleast some bigger space for us to pray?
tht same pray room acts as a common room….but when ur sitting and stuff….hardly 8-9 girls can hang out there at any one time….
wat we have is an unused cafetaria upstairs in the exec block…ur wasting resources here….and the first tht u teach is make efficient use of resources…ironic isnt it…..
hope someone listenin out there….we’re givin out ways to make everyone’s life better….without creatin any audit issues either~

correction.
we have around 800 students in city campus during morning. so giving that around 45% are female , thats closer to 350 not hundred.

just imagine…tht tiny room….barely a dozen can fit in….these are just the basics….we shdnt be asking for this…it should be provided already.

very very true! girls common room shd definately be thr.. for gods sake.. we spend de entire day at iba. its nt even our second home ne more.its HOME!!!!
and wht do u do if u hv a 4 hr gap between two classes?! u need a common room to go to sleep! arg..
i wish de admin wud see some light some time soon!

girls in the city campus have a common room? wow!! you should come and see the conditions under which we at the main campus are? the washrooms, the auditorium, the mosque… you’d be ashamed of calling that place a world class business school.
